NEETEC is based in the Colchester area of Essex and borders similar clubs based in the Sudbury and Maldon areas
Meetings are held in Colchester every month and a guest speaker is invited to talk to us on a topic of interest to the club. Past talks have included The Underground Mail System, Paxmans of Colchester, Post Boxes of Essex, Disused Underground Stations, Ransomes & Rapier and the Production of home-made BioDiesel.
The highlight of the club year is June when we hold our annual rally giving the public the opportunity to view the vehicles and equipment collected by members and many others with similar interests. For many years this rally was established at Aldham Ford Street. We have now moved to a larger site a few miles up the road at White Colne, but the name "Aldham Rally" still persists. The rally is held on the second weekend after the late May Bank Holiday.
The July meeting usually includes a visit to a museum or members collection and there are occasional coach outings including an annual trip to the Christmas Concerts at Thursford.
